Hominy Creek Cleanup
In February, the SEC and UNC Asheville Outdoors teamed up with Riverlink to clean up Hominy Creek, along the French Broad River in West Asheville.
Lighting Efficiency
Occupancy sensors installed: in the Student Government Association office, other offices, storage closets, bathrooms in Highsmith Union, the Student Environmental Center office, and residence hall laundry rooms.
Paper Reduction
We have worked closely with other university departments to achieve significant paper reduction through implementing duplex printing and pay-for-print in campus computer labs.
Sustainable Living Roadshow
Join the Sustainable Living Roadshow, a caravan of educators, activists and entertainers who tour the country in a fleet of renewable fuel vehicles and set up off-the-grid eco-carnivals.
Waste Audit
Used to track baseline recycling rates, amounts of recycling being thrown away currently and amount of contamination in recycling.
