Eco-Representative(s)

Eco-Representatives (or Eco-Reps) work throughout the year to promote sustainability on UNCA’s campus. Eco-Reps are responsible for maintaining the Free Store donations and Pop-Ups, hosting sustainable events, and Greenfest programming and advertising.

The program was piloted in Mills Hall in Spring 2009 where students designated as Eco-Reps were responsible for their hall’s sustainable engagement and knowledge.

If you are interested in becoming an Eco-Rep, contact the Student Environmental Center at sec@unca.edu or check out the Student Employment portal on Oneport for information on upcoming positions. This is an entry level job to the SEC and we encourage people from all backgrounds and mindsets to apply.  There is no requirement for previous sustainability education – just a desire to learn and create a positive environment for others to do the same.
