Hi everyone! I am an environmental studies major with a concentration in ecology and environmental biology. I have been working with the SEC for almost two years now and I just love to see students come together and truly care about the environment and our community. If you ever want to stop by and learn more about the SEC or have a potential project or idea to elaborate on my office hours this semester will be Mondays from 12:30 pm- 2:30 pm

I’m a junior and an earth science major. I started working for the SEC gardens in spring of 2023 and became an SEC co-director this spring. My goal as co-director this year is to encourage student & community involvement in and outside of the gardens. Please contact us if you or your organization are interested in planning an environmental event with us on campus! My office hours are Thursdays from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm if you want to stop by and chat!

I’m Cole, a 3rd year student at UNC Asheville majoring in environmental studies. I have always found plants incredibly interesting and enjoy being able to see them grow. I also like learning ways to garden and farm more sustainably and so that is one of my goals while I’m at the SEC.

My name is Olivia, I’m a 2nd year student at UNCA, and I’m majoring in Environmental Studies. I have a love for plants and nature, and I started working at the SEC in Fall of 2023. My favorite part about working as a gardener is learning more about the way that plants grow and experimenting with new projects!
